I was hesitating (it's complicated) and then ... oh hell, I'm doing it on Sunday. The TREC is literally down the road so why the hell not? Just the rest of the week to stress about it. And yet, why? I enjoy it! But I'm afraid it's a function of being overcompetitive ...  |

It depends what 'kind' of rain it is. Won't bother to go if it is sheeting down! Got my eye on the forecast .....

It will prob be sheeting it down in connemara lol! Rac did you say you were doing like a trekking thing, point to point type thing and camping overnight? I dont know whether i mentioned to yous before but the accommodation we stayed in when we went was top notch - self catering house in carraroe. Well I should be tacking up and getting ready to go into the map room .... but after hitching up the truck and trailer, packing up all the very many things I needed and getting very excited, late last night I had a call to say it was cancelled due to the heavy rain. I've had all of the anticipatory stress but none of the fun of doing it. Grrr. No one's fault, obvs, but I am terribly disappointed.  |

Actually that's a great idea Pboy! Wish I could shrink in the rain! But I'm not one for riding in the wet (won't have much choice in Ireland though  ) and it is sheeting down so I sort of don't mind the cancellation. Apart from the fact the rain chose today to fall, which is annoying, we did need it - the ground was concrete hard and I was watering my newly planted hedge furiously to keep it alive. |
