Does anyone have one or any experiences with them at all?
Especially the soft treed FlexEE.

I've been looking at the dressage version of the flexee for a while, especially when the leather version came out, as a possibility for The Dude and it being adjustable. I have ridden in the GP version and was quite impressed as it is far more like a standard saddle than other models and puts your legs in a lovely position. On the down side I have heard of many fitting problems and all the shimming etc put me off a little. Still umming and arring myself so would be interested to hear of if anyone else has experience of them.

I tried a Phoenix many years ago and although I loved it it was just too long for AJ. There are 2 FB pages for HM; one for just "Enlightened Equitation" and Heather is very active in replying to any posts and is always gioving excellent advice and one is for EE saddles and tack for sale etc which also has lots of advice and opinion. I'd certainly take a look at one as they do seem to very well liked and keep their price x

Thank you. I'm a bit worried about size as Pen is short and i'm quite tall and i've read a few reviews of people struggling to fit their long legs in anything smaller than the 18", which looks to be a very popular size. I was thinking 16" would be max for her - having same issues regarding a side saddle...well and one simply wide enough of course!

I really fancied one of these for a while but saw a flexEE up close recently and wasn't that impressed. Beautifully made addle but the fit seemed pretty difficult. I have heard two recent scary stories about horses going very badly in them too. They are a bit like Marmite I think! Love or hate. Good luck. If you are robbing a bank any time soon, I can't tell you how wonderful my Lavinia Mitchell saddle is! Dear and would be even better if horse stayed sound in it for more than five minutes but so comfy for me and Pete.

Thanks Sol, i've heard good reports about the LM's but i don't want a spring treed saddle or leather if i can help it. The Flexee's had a synthetic version and the new finesses are synthetic but look just like leather, i believe, so okay for the ring.
