Talk to me about the best long boots. I need a new pair and I want a nice pair. They must be suitable for someone with short legs - I'm 5ft2. Must be long lasting or good customer service for repair Comfortable obvs Preferable with tabs or laces for Rupes to play with My new muck boots have nothing for him to play with and he is very upset! Budget - £300 - I would prefer less but will pay upto that for a good pair of boots www.randrcountry.co.uk/women/footwear-women/long-riding-boots-women/ariat-bromont-tall-h2o.htmlI quite like these but reviews are that they die after 6 months or so. Any other views?

Was just going to say not Ariats! Lol! I love mine but they were too long in the leg when I bought them and for a good year after at least ( even after them dropping ) I couldn't do up the popper at the top just had to rely on the zip ( which kept them up well ).

Well mine have lasted well although for the most part id just been having lessons in them until i got murphy then they were exposed to more mud and wet but i did look after them by cleaning and treating them with different things on a regular basis. they are a bit worn on the heel and looking maybe slightly scuffed but still wearable and very comfortable.

Rac these are simply gorgeous- Ive got to have some! My legs are quite short from knee to ankle- I used to have a pair of Regent boots that were quite short, All others I have had have rubbed behind the knee as they were too long :-(

I like those Spanish boots!
My HKM country boots are fairly short in the leg, too short for me really but i like them as i have skinny legs and most boots flap and get filled with hay, which in turn ends up on my hall floor when i take them off!

You can get Spanish boots much cheaper but, I dunno, you may get what you pay for. I am very very lucky as it is Cheval Passion next week and there will be loads of stands selling them direct from Spain .... feel a splurge coming on

Saw some on ebay, looked very similar but were 170. There were a few pair of 2nd hand but I dont like the idea of 2nd hand footwear given its one of the sweaty areas. There were also some but the zips were on the inside??

Actually no. Just realised they have a seam on the inside leg and the reviews aren't fab.
