I'd work on the flatwork schooling, loads of transitions so she's responding bang on every time.

I'm not a fan of lunging at any time but if I have to I would use 2 lines or side reins; I generally don't like any gadgets. My preferred option for this would be schooling and I wold work on direct transitions, quarter turns and getting her to go forward off your leg.
