Its just a mixture of show jumps, working hunter style fences and cross country portables. It'll be fun!

You will have a blast, you usually jump a round of show jumps immediately followed by a round of working hunter or portable XC fences, as the course is often up to 20 fences long (adding up both the SJ and XC elements) it is inevitably very twisty with a lot to look at for the horse (and rider) and can be quite daunting. The hardest thing I find is to remember the course. There is also an optimum time so you have to be both careful and quite fast.
They will also dress the fences like a proper XC competition so don't be surprised to find rubber ducks in the water tray or tree branches hanging over the sides of the jump.
It's great fun and you will have a ball.
