Our wonderful, friendly, randy, funny pet turkey had died. I would never have known turkeys could be such good pets. Will miss him. Buried him in the garden and planted a lovely hydrangea over the top. Good bye George.

Aww Brig that's awful news. It made me smile a bit with your description of George, especially the randy part :-)

Not intentionally Spotti- he was a once in a lifetime pet, I expect he will become legendary! So many people met and enjoyed his ridiculous antics, the poor boy was the focus of many a dinner party conversation, happily not for his succulence!

RIP George, I don't think people would eat turkeys or chickens if they knew what great personalities they had. My brother had an ex-layer called Ruby the Adventure Chicken....she was always where she shouldn't be!

RIP George. He certainly sounds a character; as FL says I don't think people realise how friendly poultry can be. We have a re-homed polish thingyerel at the stables called Simon! He's such a diva. Lots of the kids are scared of him as he can be a bit feisty and he is extemely noisy all day hence the re-homing from the village but he's such a dude.
