for the urm rounder type...harrys saddle is fitted, but this time year he is quite round and his saddle slips just a tinsy bit but i can feel it
Can anyone recommend a non-slip numnah? I am looking at the thorowgood one woth kind of rubber mesh on the back - but dies that pull the hairs? (bearing in mind harry sweats a fair bit)

is rubber not uncomfortable for the horse though? I just imagine it pulls the hair?

Just cant bring myself to use rubber!! I have instead bought a stubben string girth (any excuse) as thats meant to help...he should get better once I move and start working him more ( I now have my first x-country (really iccle) in pairs in sept to train for ) so will see if that works and let ya know

I tried a chamois leather first of all for a very round arab with no wither at all but couldn't find one big enough as a saddler told me to use that, then a tried the rubber sheet with holes in it used under racing saddles but that pulled on her hair and Milly found it uncomfortable. So now we're using the NEW equine Saddle Sure pad and we've had no probs. It's some kind of orthopaedic foam and it really works (for us anyway), they only come in black or white though, about £23-24 in the ride-away catalogue.

whatever you do don't get a limpit pad, I got one of these for Chompy and it brought him up in big lumps under the saddle.
