Well if you can call it that as didn't put any pressure on her. Just practiced transitions and lots of changes of rein and loops. Going to need a lot of work on straightness, but i'm sure it will come with time and she wasn't as 'wobbly' once she got her bearings and sussed out the circle i was using. I think she probably thinks she's come to live with the clampits, after the posh manage at her last home! So far she's proving herself to be willing and honest so don't think i could ask for more. At one point S, who lives at bottom of field, came to see me and she stood quietly whilst i chatted to her then continued the session when asked. She also didn't bat an eyelid when S started to hose something down just the other side of the fence...Murph would have used this as a sure fire valid reason for airs above the ground!

think you are going to have a lot of fun with this one Haff, seems very genuine and even tempered. She carries herself well, shows her great conformation. Cant do enough transitions at this stage, the straightness and circles will come once she understands. Is she intelligent do you think?

That's fantastic! I think you deserve a bit of horsey fun, after the hooligan Murph, and Penny seems really straightforward. How lovely!

Brig i think she is quite a smart cookie but also just very kind and genuine/willing to please. She just loves human company/attention. My boys always come, but i think she would come to see you when you arrive even if they didn't. I feel we're already starting to bond despite the fact she's only been here such a short time. My OH is head over heels in love with her! I must admit i was a bit apprehensive, with her being a mare, as to whether it would take a long time to build up a bond. She's had the day off today but schooled her in the big field yesterday, again no pressure just transitions, changes of rein and a little more trotting than the previous evening as more space. We called it a day after about 20 mins or so as she just went really 'flat' suddenly, basically she was knackered i think! Going to take her out and about tomorrow as my Oh is off work...haha, just need to break the news to him now! I also must get him to take some more flattering pics but it's defiantly showing up my weaknesses and very bad habits, i also must get my first lesson booked now she's settled.
