What's going on?! I know that at 5.18am it's early in the day BUT ITS STILL AUGUST...where has the sunshine gone?!  Does this mean that winter is on it's way? (On the plus side, if the sunshine has gone then Faith might be able to go out with her friends again soon  ) |

I'll be rather relieved when August is over - all the tourists will go home and life will go back to normal. But I too have noticed the days are shorter |

I'll be rather relieved when August is over - all the tourists will go home and life will go back to normal. But I too have noticed the days are shorter yep me too, prime tourist season here this week, which is a total pain as they close the road between me and the ponies meaning the long way round with traffic jams because of said tourists. It was dark at about 9pm yesterday too  |

its been so warm though Im glad of that bit of respite. Im an Autumn/Winter person I think.

Tbh, so am I Brig! I'm not such a fan of all the mud and darkness, but the cooler weather and a bit of rain is actually quite nice (I don't do hot).

Our spring / summer is usually as cold as autumn / winter but at least it's nice and bright :-)

I've noticed the daylight disappearing earlier and earlier. I said to my OH, Are you sure it's only August?, I swear it feels and smells like October.
