got my insurance renewals through which made me go and check my ponies ages in their passports and I suddenly realised that my little herd are no longer youngsters.
Roly - 16
Chompy - 15
Brave and Dexter - both 13
Dont get me wrong they are all doing great and more than likely will continue to keep going for another 10 years at least, but I have always thought of them as young to middle aged but to suddenly be told you have two 'veterans' was a little bit of a shock.

I know you lose track of their ages! Princess would be 14 or thereabouts this year, imagine! We sold her aged 8/9 I think. If I still had kieran he would be 19 this year! Eek!

Faith is 17. She was only 9 when I met her! Where has that time gone?! I had a similar moment to you last year when Faiths insurance suddenly only covered 75% vet bills due to being a 'veteran'. Ironically, this is the first year that Faith has managed to be a "normal pony" (I.e. Sound, in work and looking goooood  ). |

I know, the time flies by! Paco is now 18 (or 17) - I've had him for TEN YEARS!!!! Even Racaille, who we think of as the loony youngster is NINE!!! But Dr Evil is STILL a mere 45 ..... ish, could even be more ....  |

Noble is now 23..... I worry though as I will only have external accidental injury cover from when he is 25. Looking like he is going to be around sone time as well, I may need to set up a saving account for vets fees.

Mine are getting on now too. murph has just turned 14, where has that gone i still think of him as a youngster and harry is at least 16, possibly older. We've had him almost 10 years now too, where does time go!
