Took Rac to a SJ comp on Sunday (Sam was supposed to be coming too ) and despite being an angle during our lesson on Friday, he was an @rse. He just would not listen. He went into the Club 2 class (95cm) terribly wound up and wound not stand still for the presentation to the jury, rearing slightly and spinning away, even though he'd been chilled and quiet during a very long wait before the warm-up. It seems that as soon as he gets to work he goes hyper. Anyway, he found her around the course, getting four bars down, despite doing some nice jumps in between. The height is not the problem at all; a bloke next to me said: That horse isn't jumping. And he wasn't, he kept dropping his back legs. In Club 3, he was just as bad. Mind you the teenager had a meltdown too and had a momentary blank before number seven so that broke their rhythm. I think she was concentrating too much on taking the options. It just didn't go well at all. For once she was very disappointed as it's so difficult to tell what mood he's going to be in. She never expects to be placed on Rac but she was disappointed that he'd absolutely refused to co-operate. Still, another day, another comp. Some photos

It's a shame that Rac didn't want to play ball this time BUT I can't help but be in awe of that sunshine! We've had some of the good stuff for the past few days, but it's always nice to see that really does exist elsewhere! I'm always impressed with The Teenagers attitude with Rac. There not many people who would keep going out to competitions when they're not expecting to be placed!
Loving the photos by the way (anything with horses and sunshine makes me happy!)

Spotti is right, a lot of people would just not compete if they weren't sure they would be placed! Takes a positive mindset!
