Saddle slipping now! Anything else want to go wrong? Grr! Saddler says persevere as she has been out recently. Try different numnahs cloths. Any other ideas besides expensive ones?

If the saddle fits then it could be a "hind limb" problem. AJ pushes me to the right generally as his weaker hock is on the right. Other than that try a Cavallo gel pad, not that expensive and work a treat on migrating saddles xx

right shoulder or right hind limb issue if saddle flocking is correct- more usually if the horse is sore behind it will push rider to opposing side, may build up same side shoulder as it compensates. You would be able to tell this on lunge if horse tries to turn its head out of circle when it has side reins on ie it doesnt want to work the weaker side- so if on left rein and left hind is sore it will try and carry head to outside....or it might be you who is a bit wonky so get someone competent to check your position.

The saddle slips to the left and on right rein on lunge he turns his head to the left. Left loin tension commonly reoccurs too. Does this all fit? Wish my horse was less wonky! I had a comment that I collapse to the left recently but wonder if it's half him half me! Maybe I should just give up!

never give up - Chompy has this problem too and my saddler suggested stitching 2 layers of gamgee on the saddle cloth on one side as this helps them build up the muscle on the weaker side, but my problem is I cant remember whether you were supposed to stitch it on the stronger or weaker side, I think it was the stronger side, when she suggested it i remember thinking that it all sounded a bit topsy turvey but it did seem to help, we removed on layer of gamgee after a few months as he grew straighter then the second about 6 months after that.
concentrating on straightness was also key as he used to go everywhere curled to the left (even in a straight line)

does pete have a strange trot? Chompy on one diagonal feels fine, if you change the diagonal (even on straight line) you feel like you are doing the hula hoop with your hips, this has decreased a lot with improved straightness and better muscle
