Ive had a recurring cold, snotty nose, sore throat and thingyy chest for about a month now, started as a cold, got a bit better then re emerged as a chest infection, then snotty nose and now back to chest infection. Everytime I start feeling a bit lethargic and de-motivated it comes back and Im heartily sick of it- I cant get myself up for much at all, once Ive done my jobs Im proper pooped! Anyone else suffering? maybe need more vitamins...

Me!
I've been necking orange juice faster than they can make it, drinking enough water to sink a battleship and taking night nurse as needed but still it doesn't want to shift. I think mine is partly hay fever and allergies but its getting boring now!

What does the quack say Brig?
We all have those kind of symptoms here in a mild form but it's the pollen that's doing us in! There are clouds of yellow dust billowing around - I've just swept the terrace and it was like a chrome yellow carpet. Yuk.

Doctors in the UK are for emergencies only these days. I can usually get an immediate appointment if the little one is ill but not worth even asking for me, luckily I have a ventolin puffer so although everything hurts when I cough I can still breathe. Its deffo a cold- just very very persistent!

I'm into my 6th week with the same thing Brig and it is wearing me out; totally exhausted. I have managed to see a GP, the 1st I saw insisted I took Clarithromycin which I told her I wouldn't tolerate, take some Yakult she said! So I spent 3 days with my head in the toilet and still didn't feel better. I have sen another doctor who i think was a little scared of me as he asked me what I wanted him to do so I came out with the antibiotics that I originally wanted and a chest x-ray which i didn't particularly want. Just getting so fed up of it now.

Well Zara- there is light at the end of the tunnel but mine persisted for around 8 weeks followed by a bout of tonsilitis which I did need antibiotics for, Im about three weeks the other side and it really hit my 'get up and go' just wanted to slouch in front of TV and not think of much for days. Get some fruit smoothies in and pep up your system!

I seem to be coming down with something today. I have a weird throat. It seems to be the top of it that hurts and headaches I do get a cough every winter but that clears up as soon as they go out 24/7

Ive only just started to improve Zara- finally gave in for 2nd time as I had a week cough free but then it started again so I went to docs again. Looks like Ive had a recurrence of asthma which is keeping the cough going but have had chest x rays also to check. My boy has had a foul cold recently so I probably had that which was adding to it.

My cold turned out to be a dust allergy. Now on antihistamines and not one cough *yay*
