Looking at buy some new wellington boots up to £80 ish and wondered if you could recommend some. Had leather yard boots for the last couple of years but its such a shame as they are lovely but covered in mud now and always wet so not very well looked after. I thought a good pair of strong warm wellies would mean I could dry the latest pair out and I could give them some TLC while I abuse the new wellies. Thanks.

Aigles!! I had a pair of these for 5 years before I badly twisted my ankle in them and they had to be cut off. I had to buy another pair as I was missing them so much. They are warm, waterproof and are so comfy I wear them all the time, even heading into town. They might be more than you are willing to pay though, but so worth it.

They look really lovely but I'm afraid your right it is a lot more than I wanted to spend. Anyone seen Seeland boots? They are sold in gun/hunting shops rather than equestrian but look good for the money.

I splashed out at YHL and treated myself to some Ariat Stormstoppers. I have NOT been dissapointed. They are wellies but with the same sole as their country boots and so are suitable for riding in. They also fit slightly more sungly than standard wellies so are comfy for riding in too. I can drag Ed in from the bog, rinse down and jump on. Perfect. Oh and they are warm. And they come with a years guarantee. And they look great. They cost £110 so slightly more than you wanted to spend but I think its worth it for the guarantee.

those Aigle boots are extortionate, I like where it says free pair of socks! Id want a free pair of legs for that price! The best Ivefound are some mark todd country boots, the only really waterproof ones Ive found ever!

They look nice Fi, i love the woof wear similiar style boots but they always split on the join between the plastic/fabric so i stopped buying them. I would second HKM country boots, the not so pretty sort without laces/zip that you just pull on, my last pair did two years and remained fully waterproof until harry stood on me and split one (I hadn't looked after them at all either) - i bought a K*TY pair which look really nice but won't live through another winter as they are quite trashed already. Will go back to practical over style next time!

Muckboots; I've had 2 pairs, the first were brilliant and lasted 4 years before splitting around the back and the 2nd last 2 years but i think they were a bit on the small side. They're mega warm and waterproof and if you get the Tyne boot they can be ridden in.

Seconding Muckboots! LOVE those things - I am never going back to ordinary wellies now!!! So warm and comfy and like Zara said, the Tyne ones you can ride in . LOVE mine (in case you hadn't gotten that message already lol), and not too expensive at around £75-80.
