Brrrrr Cold!!!

Winter has arrived 1cm of ice on the water trough this morninhg

It's not been too bad down here. we had one day at beginning of week when it was still minus 3 at half eight and i had to break ice/scrape my car but since then it's stayed above freezing...probably on it's way though, it had snowed a bit the other day in sheffield/chesterfield but we didn't get any. It's forcast next week i believe

We've had the first frost now but not enough to ice over the water yet. Yesterday, although it was sunny it was quite chilly and there was snow on the top of the mountains - very pretty.

Brrrr indeed, that sounds very cold! I miss cold weather, mind you I'm sure the novelty would wear off quite quickly if I go back to the UK

I was thinking the predicted 15 degrees here on Friday looked quite cold!!

Its certainly very chilly but a mildish week forecast and dry- hurrah! Will be closing off the paddocks come December but the good news is that Basil is now out with the herd, a week early but he was throwing himself about a bit too much wanting to be with them so it was the lesser of two evils.

Weather fantastic here (for Dec) not gone below about 3 degrees and often in double figures during the day, hardly a drop of rain either. There is plenty of time yet though for it to plummet and for snow to arrive, oh well!! I am in Cheshire by the way.

It's been really mild on the whole here too, odd frost but generally okay during day, harry still mainly naked during day and Murph just wears a lightweight, varies overnight depending on temp. It's been lovely and dry too until Thursday night, when it rained all night. However it's dry and pretty windy so that should dry up the small amount of mud thursday caused. Can't complain, so far, at all!
