The shop on the yard where I keep my boys was broken into at about 2am this morning. One of the culprits has been caught on CCTV but sadly he is unrecognisable due to his clothing and mask! No vehicle was seen on CCTV and its thought they made off across the fields. They obviously knew what they wanted and where it was; they took country clothing, boots and hats. If anyone sees any Jack Murphy jackets on sale cheaply at car boots etc please alert the police.

They are tossers! Mind you at least you can replace a jacket, more distressing when its horses they are stealing.

The close proximity of the shop to the horses is very worrying. The thieves obviously knew what they had come for though.

That is worrying and it's always a real shock when something is broken into. I hope they catch the ar$ehole$. It's worth keeping an eye on ebay too...

Sounds very similar to an incident at a riding stables up here, they came took certain jumps from the school and were away, For those with FB the page is here: www.facebook.com/pages/Hyndshaw-Stables/127111074127102?fref=tsfor those without the descriptions We have had 3 sets of 5ft wings stolen (Blue, Oranage and White) plus 10 poles from the side of our arena. Thankfully we have CCTV across the yard and the police are hopeful they will catch these scumbags. If you hear or see anything turn up please get in touch on 07766 566825. Many thanks, Lorraine. **** STOLEN WINGS AND POLES*****early hours of tues morning (12:50) CCTV footage has detected 2 males (1 large medium build and 1 smaller) at the roadside of our arena. A white transit van matching this timeframe has been identified driving back & forth and likely to have parked on up at the minor rd leading off to allanton. Police to review further footage from a neighbouring property to try and identify writing on the side of the van! Fingers crossed folks and keep up with the shares someone must know something!! Thank you! Lors and the Hyndshaw Team

It's so upsetting and unnerving to think that these low lives have been on your property and near your horses. I spoke to J, the YO, and our burglar had been on the roof of the barn with my boys in to move the CCTV; pity he didn't fall through the roof and land on my friends huge horse as he probably wouldn't have got out alive! Poor horses must have been terrified having someone on the roof!
Saw on FB last night that a coloured mare has been stolen from the Durham area; so hope she finds her way home.

Scumbags, sounds like they had a good idea of the layout if they had sussed the cameras enough to tamper with them. Did they manage to get any shots of them?

Haffy they'd obviously been to the shop as they knew where all the cameras were and what stock they had; the stuff they stole was very specific. He's caught on camera crossing the carpark dressed in back and then again in the shop. He's dressed in a full length forensic type suit with a white balaclava; no evidence left for police.
