Been out five times in a row! Poor Pete! Got up early for two of them and rode to the river for a paddle which was great. Vet again on Friday but til then enjoy the weather while it lasts!

I'm glad you are enjoying it Sol, I'm not at all. We have to go out as early as we can otherwise it gets impossible, even the evenings are superheated. Today we took P and Sam out as early as we could but by the time we'd chatted to the neighbours etc it was stifling so we just podded along in walk on the lanes, so as not to bash Sam's hoof on the stones. It was not fun though. Both the horses were too hot , as we were.

I haven't ridden while it has been so hot. I'm just comfortable putting a riding hat on my head, my brain would cook . The horses wouldn't enjoy it either so i'm not bothering. I might have if there were any woods near by to ride in though. I did ride on Saturday as it was alot cooler and the horses enjoyed getting out. It doesn't look like i'll get to ride much before we go on holiday next week.

Since our move AJ and Tordi have been out everyday and it has been very hot. They've come home dripping even with just walking through the woods. They've both enjoyed a cool shower afterwards.

You seem to be getting out and about a bit more since your move Zara? I find it too hot to ride much, I end up with rubs which take ages to heal, I only hacked for an hour on Toudle the other day and Ive a rub on my backside that is still sore. The clegs are vicious too and I get targeted by them I think!
