Blummin' horses - seriously, who'd have 'em?! (Especially once you know all the chaos they create!!!)
Went to bring faith in on Tuesday to find she had 2 scrape marks down her shoulder as if a pair of metal shoes had slid across her fur, taking the scraped bits of hair with them! Personally I think she's been having a bit of 'fun' with some of the geldings (if you catch my drift :giggle)) but still - I could really do without more injuries at the mo!
And then yesterday I brought her in to find a puncture wound just above her right hip - about the size of a 5 pence coin...or maybe a tiny bit smaller - that was pretty deep and looking a bit purple (yup, I could see membranes!!!). I've cleaned it up and will keep an eye on it but blummin' 'eck she looks like someone has sunk their teeth into her side, poor thing.
Will try to get a picture of it later so you can see what mean about the purple...
(Just to put this into context: I already have the vet coming out next week to meet faith - old vet retired - and then the physio coming shortly after the vet to fix faiths pulled something-or-other, and the farrier soon to keep an we on her feet. I am obsessively checking her pulses to make sure the grass is behaving itself, and on top of all of that she's now decided that she wants to be a punk rocker and put holes in herself to be cool!)
