lumpy itchy rash!

Poor Pete something else now! Lumps and itches on his right shoulder for about a month on and off. Anti-histamines helped but made him too sleepy! Really need to know what causing it! Poor lad.

Just out of curiousity Sol, has he changed pasture recently or eating anything differently. Sometimes if something in the diet changes it can cause itching. I used to get this with tomatoes (since cured - touch wood) but had itching on my upper arms and could rub myself raw. Maybe it could be the same for Pete. Only a thought. I used anti-histamines and didn't get sleepy but I have heard some suffer from it. Perhaps you could try a different brand? Are you trying human tablets or special horsey ones?
