Had a great day at the hunter trial yesterday. Brave had one moment of panic in the warm up arena, but they were running late and there were just too many horses, and people shouting so we left walked around for a bit in the field behind the car park and then went back.
He has come on so much from the last time out this time he wasnt phased by the jumps at all but was a bit 'looky' and all the people and cars and jump judges and the scary alien (score collector on a motorbike wearing hi-vis and a motorbike helmet).
We did far too much trotting but the bit was the right choice... and the boy was barely out of breath at the end and hadn't even broken sweat!
