Rode Sky in the field today. I wanted to see if i could get Sky to canter now that she has remembered what it is. I asked her to canter down the field in a straight line. She went into it and we had about 8 strides of canter then i asked her to come back to trot. I then trotted round the field and asked again at the top of the field and she went into it quicker. That time i cantered about 10-12 strides and asked for trot.
She behaved perfectly and stayed on a looseish rein and never even thought about bucking or running off. I can't tell you how happy i am with her, i adore that pony ;D.
So we have had our first canter. She is doing really well i have to remember she is only rising 4 she has a very mature attitude for a baby.
