There is a TREC at my local place about 5km away but it's next Sunday, Easter day. Shall I be selfish and do it anyway?  I could leave lots of choccie for the boy teenager .... |

Do it! It's not like you'll be out all day and I'm sure the family will survive for a few hours  Or you could hide the easter eggs in the trailer and bribe them into grooming for you...?  |

Errr..... I would be out all day though! The class I fancy is first on, which means an early start for the POR and then the PTV would be mid afternoon ..... but even so, surely I deserve it ?  |

My boy is younger than yours so I wouldnt go!! But it depends on him really, what would he think, some boys of his age would love a free day, no mother about and a bag full of choccy!

Well I'm signed up - couldn't get my team interested - and the only competitor in my class - but I can't win it as I've dropped a boo-boo. I haven't sent a meedical vertificate to the FFE which means my competition licence isn't valid and although I can do it, I'll be disqualified by the FFE unless I can sort it out pronto.
Sort of irritated though as the mad woman who wanted me to do a rando with her and has always sneered at the level I've been doing TREC is doing it herself and at the same level - so so much for the sneering at the 'easy' level! But she's doing it in a team from my old club - so she can make their lives a misery (as she will).
In fact, although I feel vaguely annoyed (this woman gives me the feeling she is 'stealing' my life, hard to explain) I'm really glad I'm not with them as she really is a nightmare. The other lady that I know is OK but very precious (and extremely wealthy) and the last person is riding a mad horse. Best out of there I think.

Hah Brig!!! But seriously, I know you are having a tough time with the worry about Basil. I've managed to sort out my competition licence thanks to a great GP but I will need to sort it out with the organiser which will be difficult since he still hasn't posted the official results from last November's TREC!! But it doesn't matter anyway, I'm only doing it for fun, I don;t need to qualify although the teenager is starting to hassle me into qualifying for the TREC championnats next year! No way hosé! But in order not to be overtaken by nightmare woman on the POR I will have to keep going at quite a lick since there are four of them to map read and only me. Mind you, she is absolutely rubbish with a map!!! |
