I have come to very sad and hard decision to put Charlie on loan. He is not doing anything with me and he is bored so i think it will be for the best to let him go on loan to someone who will use him. He loves jumping and would make a fantastic competition horse. I don't know how easy it be to find him a home but i am hoping to be able to find him a really good home so he will get ridden. He is quite a lively ride and needs bringing on. If anyone hears of someone wanting a horse on long term loan then please let me know. I would prefer him to stay localish to me so i can check up on him as i have had a loan go very wrong before when i let my old gypsy cob go on loan for a year, i fetched her home after 6 months as she looked like a rescue case.

Well i advertised him this morning on preloved and i have had an 18 year old girl come and try him tonight. He was well behaved especially as they had been stood in their stables all day because of the weather. She did seem like a nice lass and she rode him well. She is going to come and ride him a few times before either of us make a decision but it sounds like she would be a good home for him. She has been looking for a horse to loan for most of the winter.

Best of luck, we sent one of ours on loan to a friend for 6 months and it broke my heart, unlike some loans she came back happy and healthy if slightly overweight without a stain on her record having taught one little girl to ride off the lead rein competantly and a previously clueless dad how to tack up (poor man put her saddle on backwards and her bridle on inside out (no idea ) good job Brax is a gem.

Well the girl is coming to hack out on him on Friday, then it is time to make up our minds. I think she will have him as she has really enjoyed riding him. The yard that she is going to use sounds very posh. It will be a shock to him as he is used to being in my back garden where it is quiet. Fingers crossed it works out with her as she seems a lovely lass and seems to know what she is doing., I suppose only time will tell. I'm really not looking forward to him going but i know it is for the best for Charlie as he really needs to be in regular work. If she decides not to have i have had another person get in touch about him so i have told her if he isn't going to this lass then i will let her know over the weekend.

If the lass decides tomorrow that she doesn't want him i have 5 others waiting to be able and see him. I have had a good response from my ad and i only have the one ad running on preloved. It has only been on since Friday.

Well Izzy came to ride Charlie out for a hack today. He was a little star. I then went to look at the yard she is going to keep him at. He is leaving me on Sunday . Not looking forward to it but i now it is for the best for Charlie as he will actually get some work with her. I can't believe how fast it has all been.

It has been really fast, I must admit I was half tempted by your post as Basil is out of action, mind you it may have caused a divorce but hey, whats more important, a man or a horse?
