Impromptu hack

I got to the yard last night and it was dry and not too windy so thought I'd pop out around the block on Tordi. Sam, who hacks AJ for me, came too! It's the first time that they've been out together on their own as it were. Sam has been telling me how good AJ has been recently but sadly he was very lively and it did worry me a bit , he didn't do anything horrendous just very joggy and kept cantering on the spot but he didn't do any of his famous "leaps" and didn't go anywhere. We had a bit of a canter up the verge, well more like a gallop where AJ was concerned and he looked pieved when the grass ran out! They were generally very good other than both wanting to be in front on the way back; enjoyed having both my boys out together ;D

sounds like it was good practice for both of them as well as fun for you! Good to not let them always be in front too!

Ah nice for you to see him enjoying himself! Pete and Barney are always very competitive with each other too!

Nice that you could get them out together...i'm guessing that means you have something worked for Aj again after the 'interesting' possible a few weeks ago.

Hi Haffy, sam has been riding AJ for a long time but I have to pay her for the priveledge! She loves him and is very confident and so not bothered by him; if she didn't already have 2 of her own she would have him full time but sadly she can't. I have got a new sharer however who is riding him in the school at weekends. She has a lot of experience but is a bit "rusty". She seems to be getting on well with him and thinks he's lovewly but he hasn't put a hoof wrong as yet though! x
