poor kittens im really sad

one of the wild cats has had kittens they are about a week at most old i dont think she knows how to look after them one has already died , one is really cold , and the third is cold and keeps crying ive put a hot water bottle in with them and tried giving them some kitten milk from a syringe but im not hopeful its really sad

where is the mum now? has she left them?

WE found soem kittens like this before and they did unfortuantely die and I think they were worm infested even in their short life. At least if they dont make it you ahve made their last time comfortable.

mums still there but she wont let them drink and they keep getting out the bed the other one has died now so just one left but its got billions of fleas so they wont do it any good and they are too young to put anything on cept some herbal stuff and dont want to put smelly stuff on in case she rejects it all together
i tghink its just because she's only young herself and doesnt know what to do

TBH I woudl say (and I rarely do say interfere, but we had 28 bleedin cats at one point - obsessed auntie who died...dont ask - soem were nearly ferel and had kittens all over the place) if she isnt letting it feed, take it off her, put some herbal stuff on and do it yourself. If you leave it with mum it wont survive, at least it has a very slim chance with you...

if ur going to feed it ur self u need to do it every 2 hours and they want feed unless they feel a heart beat when she's Feed get a wet Cotton bud and brush down her tum to her bit's i had to hand rear 6 puppies and it worked for them they all lived but it's very hard work

just been to feed but theye died mum is still hanging around like she knows sommthings up feel sorry for her if i can catch her ill hhhave to get her to the vets

That is very sad Kate, hope he pulls through. We used to be always rescuing abandoned wild cats when we were kids, I remember 3 who survived well (maybe their mother died rather than abandoned them) but the others never lived to be old. ALways very sad though.

How sad...hope they pull through...The first time old farm cat Katie had kittens we thought she'd abandoned them too (she was a stray that turned up one day and never left!) just as I was gathering them up to take indoors she returned with a mouse for them. Nice thought! I guess her old instincts took over and she felt she still had to hunt to survive in order to feed them too. She left them daily to hunt but always returned and was a super mum after all......she did this every litter she had even when tame. Hope your cat's mothering instints take over too Kate.

Oh well kate, at leasts you tried and they died in a warm comfy place...

look after mum..she is probaly a bit undernourished and didnt have enough milk - probably worm ridden too...if you cant catch her see if you can get her to strt eating and crush some wormer into it...
