R is now coming back into work and yesterday the teenager joined me on a walk up and down some gentle hills. R is pretty furry and it was warm so he started to sweat. But I noticed it was only on one side of his body. There was a perfect line down the underside of his neck: one side completely dry, the other very sweaty. He was perfectly behaved, no jogging or silliness at all.
I've tried Googling it but got nothing sensible although the teenager says she got a hit which brought up neurological damage.
Any ideas?

I would tend to consider neurological damage, also given his lack of muscle behind so maybe something interfering with the nerve relays. But there's a lot of horses out there with far greater problems and I would think that if he is relaxed and happy in his work I really wouldnt worry too much about it, plus it would be inexpensive and perhaps unnecessary to find out?

No, you are right Brig, I'm not going to investigate, especially as it might all be academic soon. He is what he is. At the moment, that is a really nice lovable soul. If he ends up as a companion to P, that's fine. He's nicer than Lad!
