R is stripping all the bark of the one nice tree I have, a Judas tree, which will die if I can't stop him. Does anyone know of a product I could smear on the bark to stop him doing it?

Naughty pony! Ours eat the trees if they run out of grazing. Fencing it off is the only solution. Good luck!

Thanks Brig, that looks like the bizz. I have also seen somewhere that smearing chili on the bark works - shall I try some Tabasco? Sol, I'd prefer not to fence it off as it is in the middle of the middle paddock and I'd need a new energiser for the tape - if I have to do it I will but would prefer something easier!

Hi Rac, just wondering how you got on with this? I have a similar problem with 2 of my trees. I fenced it off but as it was in a similar location to your own I would have needed another battery energiser.

Hi DB! Well I tried pouring Tabasco on R's 'favourite' bits of the tree - and it does seem to have worked! The tree appears to be left alone now - I imagine R has very tingly lips!!!
