I've had the most amazing day today

My OH bought me a falconry experience half day for Christmas and I finally got to use it today. Wow, just wow!!!!

We flew a Bengal Eagle owl, a Harris Hawk and a Bataleur Eagle. The guy who lead the day was so informative and really put the information across in an easy to understand way. I would definately go back again.

My OH had one of these for xmas too and used his just a few weeks ago. I had an amazing time and learnt loads just as a spectator. Where did you go to? We went to Woodside Falconary in Lincs.

I went to the Consiton Cold Hotel near Skipton. I have some photos but they are not very good as it is not easy using the camera when you have one of those large gauntlets on. One of the other people was there as a spectator and she has promised to email the ones she took. I'll see if I can get a couple uploaded.

There are places that do hunting from horseback which sounded very interesting. I would have to know that whatever was caught was for food as I don't think I could ever justify killing just for my own enjoyment.

I've seen demos and always thought it looked majestic, would love to have a go. The pix are great - what beautiful birds.
