Fingers crossed for you.
Which vets do you use? Margaret Warmby (sp) or Minster?

Use minster. Wharmbys havent got a mobile xray. Who do you use?
Not heard anything yet, im guessing theyve not found anything and theyre wanting an expert to have a look (they did that with Bertha, to find a hair line fracture)

Hey Mae really sorry for some reason missed this post. The way he is knuckling over at the fetlock suggests pain in the pedal/navicular/DDFT area as he is trying to take pressure of the foot, is the shoe still on? Could be a deep seated abscess there in which case youll need a scan done as opposed to xray to show extent of damage. Hope the vets rings you soon and its nothing too serious, when its pain like that all the vets think differently- youve done right having x rays done as you could be on bute/box rest for days and itll not do him any good if its the wrong diagnosis! Got my fingers crossed! brig

Ohhh we have a guy whos quite young, and has a red estate X reg car.
We did have John Rose til he left. And we had Caroline a couple of times for Bertha.
Eddies still on 2 butes a day at the moment, walking around the field. It wouldnt be practical to stable him as the girls would be out in the field. Any other scans i think would mean a trip down to Oakham, so praying that the xrays will show whats hurting him.
But yes i agree its further back, his heel is quite tender when pressed with considerable force but hoof testers dont make a difference on his hoof wall. Hoping its not navicular or DDFT, it wouldnt be good.
