Lovely ride this morning, the sun even shone for us! I'm getting braver and we ventured further afield today as i have been sticking to variations of going around perimeter of common, which does get a tadge monotonous after a while. So we went into woods instead, which follows in part the old road, which is cut between the trees. I always envisage days gone by when i go this way... of carriages on route to Worksop/The North and of the highway men, whom i can only imagine would target such routes to ambush them in their solitude. Fortunately the only thing besides us today was a solitary deer who bounded across the path infront of us. Harry has really got the hang of being led *touches wood* he's been an angel to date and today has fallen in behind me on a couple of occasions to go around narrow gateways etc then immediately joined back up at side of me afterwards. Not very helpful with the gate on common and still standing there like a bit lump whilst murph maneuvers around him so i can close it but i can't ask for everything at once i guess. Just glad that I'm able to get them out and about for now.

Sounds lovely Haff. Well down all three of you for persisting with this and getting the hang of it. I still mean to try taking Lad out in hand. I'm putting it off as Lad is very strong )he built like the proverbial brick ...) and also I don't want to create a separation problem where one doesn't exist if they get used to going out together .... but if it is only from time to time it can't hurt, can it?
