Morning all. My horse has somehow managed to get some kind of tree sap all over his coat which has set like chewing gum - lovely! Has any one got any ideas how to get it off as it looks awful and is really annoying me. I can't pull it off as it would pull the hair off and i have tried scratching at it to no avail. I googled the problem last night and apparently rubbing alchol is good at getting pine sap off clothes....what is this and where do i get it? Also, would white spirit put on a cloth turn his hair white?!! All suggestions welcome as it is driving me up the wall!

I don't have any tried and tested remedies I'm afraid. Don't think white spirit would bleach his coat. Have you thought about trying plaster adhesive remover? Might work. God luck Zx
