Currently staying in the cattery. He is huge, a Maine Coon (sp?) with attitude. His hiss makes me go cold and he uses it to great effect.Had to laugh as he has a real reputation with the vet and his owner was telling me they wont let her leave when he needs treatment just is case they cant handle him. Gauntlets and all they are terrified of him! He usually takes about four days of growling and hissing to settle but then he is ok, quite affectionate in a slightly intimidating way! Likes defrosted prawns and like polos for horses Im not adverse to a bit of bribery!

I love Maine Coons. I have read that they are decended from the Norwegian Forrest Cat but no one is quite sure of the ancestry.
How long is he with you? I hope it's not a case that he just settles down and then goes home again. I have a vision of you wearing a suit of armour offering a prawn on the end of a skewer at arms length!

What a naughty boy! Hope he is good! Sounds like you have the measure of him. Prawns it is! Probably cheapest at Lidl!

Well he is starting to settle, he's been before but more stressed this time after a few visits to vet. Think he will be ok soon!

Love them. Brilliant cats would have one but always worry about having a pure breed as i like them to have freedom and a cat flap. Maybe I live in a dodgy area!!! Will stick to my moggies.
