Ummm... Hello everyone! I'm still fairly new to the equestrian world. I've been riding for... well, I suppose it must be over six months now, but I've only just got to grips with canter after having changed riding schools (Thanks to rather overworked horses and less than brilliant teachers it took entire lessons and a hello-of-a-lot of kicking just to get the horses to do one stride of trot). I will have my new riding school horse, 15 year-old Blue (I'm afraid I haven't had the chance to measure how tall he is yet), on part loan from the 1st of July. Blue is a real softie and ever so sweet, although he does need rather a lot of kicking to persuade him to do anything. If this works out my parents are going to buy me a horse of my own later in the year or early 2012. ;D I'm very interested in dressage, specifically classical dressage (I'm enchanted by the airs above the ground by the Cadre Noir and Spanish Riding School). I also study politics, play the violin, speak French and adore classical music. Ummm... I'm not really sure what else there is to say... so... Hello everyone, I hope to have a nice time here and make some friends!

Hello!!! ;D I dont have a horse at the moment but currently ride at a riding school and am working towards my BHS Stage One exam in September (just for the craic lol!) ;D A good riding school can make all the difference! I had a slightly different problem than you though. I changed riding schools after selling my last pony in 2009 and giving up horse ownership due to many problems and I can say that my confidence has definitely improved - I never thought that I would feel confident and ready to give the BHS Stage one exam a go. I went back to my old riding school a few weeks ago for a private lesson and it was amazing, i really enjoyed it and was challenged. I think that having this riding school horse on part loan will do wonders for your riding, confidence and horse care - its such a good opportunity! Before I got my first pony i was considering taking on one of the riding school ponies on part loan but it was too expensive - details are vague now though lol! but it was something along those lines! I cant wait to hear about your adventures with Blue and hopefully see some pics - they are compulsory on this forum! ;D

Welcome, hope you enjoy it on here, I do. I had lessons before buying my horse and still regularly as I can now, you never stop learning with horses.

Thank you for welcoming me everyone! This is pretty much the only picture I have of Blue, and unfortunately it isn't a very good one. I'll post better pictures soon; I must remember to take my camera with me to my next riding lesson!

Hi Cavelerie *waves*. Blue is gorgeous. You'll learn loads having him on part loan. I love my lessons once a fortnight - I've changed from ''I don't want to do dressage'' to ''I love dressage!'' so much to learn.

Hi there. Blue looks lovely. I look forward to hearing how the two of you get on together.
