Well done! Dont practice the whole test too much, but learn it thoroughly yourself and incorporate parts of it everyday in your schooling routine. A little anticipation isnt a major problem but too much would be.

Enjoy it! I did - even though I thought I would melt down with nerves, I just didn't! The butterflies in my tummy were (I told myself) excitement, and I fooled myself into believing it was true.
I know Brig is right - you don't want your horsey anticipating, but I did find that practising the whole test till Paco and I knew it by heart was useful for me - I didn't worry that I would forget it and Paco knew what he had to do.

Ha ha Rac, I have done that and it can be useful, especially on a horse that is a bit stuffy, but if youve got one that is forward going its a nightmare. I learned the hard way................!!

Not sure which way Pete will be. Not sure if He will be nervous. I know I will be! Rac I gave my friend your butterflies equal excitement tip this weekend he said he felt pretty good. It was only his third test.

well done, In terms of practicing the test I think it really depends on horse, with Fig if I did the whole test once he would learn it and anticipate every change which was really bad newsas we would end up low flying...
With Brave I need to practice the whole test a few times as he prefers to know where he's going but doesn't seem to anticipate changes of pace but is a bit more willing than if it is a 'who, what, where, when' moment when I ask for each transition etc. It seems to help him concentrate if he has a rough idea of where he is going, however most of the time I am learning two tests at the same time so he cant anticipate too much as he doesn't know which one we are doing.

Sol- believe it or not, they are very easy to learn as they have all the same moves, just reversed. Are you getting excited? I wouldn't be a great one for practising tests - I actually think it keeps it fresher for the rider as well as the horse although I know opinions on this differ. However, I do think it would be worth introducing him to some white plastic piping (if he isn't already). Its not a big thing but a few starts and jumps at the piping can be a bit offputting at your first test. (I apologise if he is a lot better behaved than my horses and wouldn't dream of spooking at the piping) I am enjoying your countdown!!
