I don't want to say too much in case someone on here hasn't seen watched it yet, but I'm sorry to say i didn't think much of it. I thought the ending was very unoriginal and after Sybil has just died last series, it was too much. Its like they've replaced good quality plot developments with just killing of big characters for shock factor. My friends and family strongly disagree with me though and loved it haha

He wanted to leave though, he's made it in America now so off he goes. It was a bit slow in places especially the Scotland but Moseley's dancing had me in stitches and more than made up for it . And I'm loving that Jimmy and Mr Barrow are friends!

Yes i agree that Jimmy and Mr Barrow being friends is very sweet! It's a shame he is leaving Downton Abbey for America as he was playing such a main character No one in Downton will dare to get pregnant again, knowing that one or both of the expectant parents will meet their grisly end within hours of the birth!

But they had to kill him off- where else could that storyline go? He was quite easy on the eye though so shall look forward to whatever he does in the future- probably some American lawyer thing! Was watching his 'widow' in Restless last night- thats got a great plot, on tonight so it will be a glass off and feet up for that!

Gosh I was in tears. I understand he wanted to go and so this was the only way for him to go. But sadly I don't think the programme will be the same. Too many changes to original characters. The original storylines are complete - Mary and Matthew will they won't they, the future of Downton is safe. Theres only Edith to wrap up. So long as they don't kill off Maggie Smith. She's the best one in it,

I agree though I am looking forward to the Edith/editor story line to see how it pans out, I love the historical taboo subjects in Downton especially the issue re homosexuality, I was quite shocked to see the reaction to the Thomas/Jimmy kiss as it was more shocking then than it is now but I didn't realised quite how much.
Maggie Smith has been poorly of late but I'm hoping she's back on good form, Downton wouldn't be the same without her, filming wearing all that garb cannot be easyn especially in Summer.
P.S did anyone see the gorgeous Highland ponies, they were scrummy!
