woke up at silly o'clock this morning and couldn't get back to sleep so at 5.30 Brave was tacked up and ready to go!
went for a lovely hack out, didn't see a sole and just where I usually turn around my friendly neighbouring farmer had started to cut his silage field and had left 3 six foot wide tracks all the way around the perimeter of the field.
So Brave and I had a loevly canter around it. Brave behaved himself impeccably, he was having a good look at the skinny sheep i.e. just shorn but went at exactly the speed I asked for and no more, came back to walk easily and trotted without bouncing although I could feel him wanting to go.
I really don't know why I worry...

He's such a good boy . Did he look at you like "*yawn*...what are you doing here at this time mum?" ? Faith gives me that look when I turn up at just before 5am to turn out before dashing off to catch the early train into uni. Won't be doing that again soon as I'm all done with student-ness now but her face was hilarious. Bless her, she looked so confused, looking from me to the darkness outside the window, almost saying "but it's still dark outside. Why aren't you asleep??!" Bet it felt nice to have a canter in a farmers field. Our YO has trimmed the XC course up so it's all wide, flat and oh-so-tempting...we had to have a run along the edges - it's practically the law!

Sounds fantastic, perfect start to the day. Honestly never thought you did worry, good to know you are human! It's the edge of danger that we secretly get a kick out of I think. Would enjoy riding more if I worried less though!

I love early morning rides before the rest of the world wakes up. So peaceful and you usually see a lot of wildlife scurrying around.
