Fi, I thought Murphy was getting on great until today when I was turning him out. He was coughing again, not much and I've been watching throughout the day and I haven't noticed anything else so I hoping he was literally just clearing his throat.
I've been steaming his hay, keeping him out from 7am - 10pm. I'm hoping to put him out permanently in a few days if I'm successful in getting him another field close by.
I'll ring the vet on Monday if I notice anything further. He needs his vac's but until he's completely sound he isn't allowed it.

Glad he seems so much better...horrid isnt it when they are like that.
Re separation, the only thing I can add (apart from make sure you regularly take them out for hacks/walks away from the other but as an activity - I would defo NOT recommend separating them for prolonged periods (ie away from each other in different fields rather than because they are out doing something) as this will create more separation anxiety. Harry and Willow are so bonded - If I toll Willow away from the field Harry would literally drop down dead with the trauma of it! But he will hack out without willow without a thought.
