Today during my lesson with China pot he put his tongue over the bit, weve never seen this before with him and im wondering what could lead him to do this? i know it can be due to discomfort with mouth and am going to get his teeth checked again as he does get ramps. Hes in a myler low port snaffle as hes got a large fleshy tongue and didnt cope with a sprenger rs which i tried before (he drooled excessively. He does play alot with the myler but often this is associated with his anxieties and if hes concentrating fully he doesnt mouth at all.
Of course as you all know China has many health problems which could add to the issue but hes actually schooling quite well right now, long round and low in walk and just starting trot again, ive also noticed hes starting to ride much straighter in his head now and flexing correctly rather than tilting his head as he did before treatment.
im going to put the bit up a hole each side tomorrow and see if that helps as i could do with him been unable to do this as he is already a loon at times in the school, leaping a rocking around when he gets his knickers in a twist about something, hes such a precious pansy. annax
