Went out for a long hack on our own yesterday, well long by our standards! Took Pete along the railway line into the woods, where we explored some new tracks. He was an angel. Bless him. We had a couple of short trots and the rest of the time just ambled along in walk listening to the birds singing. Brilliant for my confidence, so pleased I can safely take him out on my own. It's crazy that I still feel that I have to psyche myself up for it but definitely getting better! I have a very good horse. ;D

Sounds wonderful Sol. Going out by yourself is a massive achievement and you should be proud, especially when you were exploring new tracks. This is what I dream about.
You are extremely lucky having a little gem like Pete!!

Sol, you are doing so well and pete is a star. Although I'm 99% certain that Tordi will be fine alone i just can't take that first step - keep saying to myself that "today's the day" but .... I'm inspired by your resolve and i will di it rachel x

Glad to help! Took me eight months to venture out alone! Hence the collywobbles still. I have faith in the lovely Pete as you must be getting with Tordi, but there is plenty of time. Enjoy him.
