Took Pete out today after two weeks off and five days antibiotics for his respiratory problem. He was definitely better! The wind was a bit gusty always makes them a bit spooky. We wanted to see how long it would take us to hack to the new yard. The route is along the disused railway line. As soon as their hooves touched it they wanted to go. I went first and managed to keep control. we got to where we were going after 55mins. Turned around to come back and the boys new we were on the way home! We decided to just trot for a bit. Cue Pete performing a few airs above the ground! Just about kept hold of him. Then we let them go for a last blast. Boy did they fly!. Mud everywhere. Good fun but quite scary. Think he has got his mojo back!

Great news he's feeling better. It was very blustery yesterday. Ed took off with me little madam - note to self, do not gallop in open field in gale force winds!! Two circuits later we stopped!

Sounds wonderful. How I would love that disused railway track. I think they were all hopping at the weekend. I rode both horses Sunday. I hadn't ridden since mid November. I imagined them as unfit and spooky (which would be usual after a long break) but actually both very forward but quite relaxed. Obviously I kept to mostly walk but the bits of trot I did were very very very lively!
