It's been weeks since we last has a blast but on Monday it was warm and sunny and the ground had thawed to a really nice springy softness so we let rip a little!  Actually, it was very sensible, no headbanging stuff, just some nice short canters here and there but boy! was it nice to change pace a little! I've been keeping P ticking over with lots of hill-walking, and much as I enjoy a quiet potter, it felt good to blow the cobwebs away. I was glad I made the effort anyway, as it is now wet and windy and will stay that way until Xmas Eve. bah ruddy weather mutter mutter ......  |

Yup! another free lungeing day yesterday, mind you he should haveno issues with pigs at the end of this winter, the covered area is next to the pig barn and they squeal and fight all the time.

they have now snow ploughed and gritted the road which means hacking out is now impossible so am stuck in the school, as CHomps hates schooling thats just no fun and Brave still needs another day or two before going out so am staying on the ground at the moment

Sounds great Rac. Snow/ice has meant I haven't been able to ride for 5 weeks now or there abouts with no end in sight as yet...

We haven't managed canter yet, but we've been out 2-3 times in the past few days - twice with new friends! Apart from a bit of jogging and a few silly faces at her now-new-friends, everything went well and I'm rather impressed with how Faith has behaved, especially since she's not hacked out in company in about a year  I'm betting we'll not get out again soon because it's just sods law that when we start having fun the world turns against us, but ah well, it was fun while it lasted! Glad you had fun on Paco I can't wait to find somewhere soft enough for a decent trot to let Faith blow off some steam, I can feel she's itching to just run. Even the field is too hard for her to run around for long. |
