Going with my pal tonight on a hack minus Pete!! Will be very odd. I will walk and she will ride, hopefully taking pity on me at some point and letting me ride. Poor old Barney, no rest for the wicked. Pete meanwhile has been quite naughty, not wanting to come in at nighttime charging round the field at a trot pretending to be sound.

He he - naughty Pete! I actually quite like hacking out minus a horse - it certainly makes you appreciate how far you travel whilst comfortably parked in your saddle! Also gives you a different view of things (e.g. a scary bush) and from the ground you might see/understand better how your horse finds it scary. My personal favourite is hacking out in-hand. We do this a lot. It's so nice to just go out for a wander with your favourite ponio and not have to worry about anything other than just walking . We also like chatting to the neighbours and playing with the local kids' bikes and pogo sticks and footballs and stuff! Hope you have a nice 'hack' and that you don't have to walk too far!!!

lol thats good. What amazes me when I go out on foot is how easy horses make difficult terrain look, and often how tall the grass is were riding through. Have a nice hack.
