Currently looking at Unis for 2011. My criteria is: must offer Adult Nursing, preferably be able to take Savs (but she can stay home), must have fairly decent accomodation either on campus or very near, must be within a 2 1/2hr to 3 hr drive of Scarborough.
Have already looked at and been to Hull, York, York ST John and am looking at Nortumbria soon.
All ideas welcome.

Sheffield Hallam? Pretty sure they have nursing courses, I know I'm biased as it's my home but it's a great place to be a student  |

York is excellent - some really good tutors there (or there were when I worked for the department) but Northumbria is just beautiful and I would move back up there like a shot if I could.

I have to admit Northumbria was one that I thought would just be that little bit too far away but i really love the area. York i like and i would get placements in scarborough but the campus gave me a really bad vibe. Have got a prospectus coming from Sheffield Hallam and am booking myself onto an open day. Florence - Thank you! This is something I have always wanted to do, hoping if I keep working as hard as I have been I will get in to uni  . I'm actually excited already just looking  |

Sheffield's brilliant!
But... Manchester is the PLACE TO UNI! Honestly, its got four (now three I guess lol) unis so everyone there is a student -nearly! Its really a gr8 place to experience the uni life. I did four yrs there n one in sheff - MAnc was deff better! Brother did York -ok but no real nightlife, no good halls, etc. Sister did Hull (the campus at Scarborough) n left after beign stalked, threatened and taking out harrassment injunctions as well as involving the police and moving back home! -though that was more to do with a single freak than Scarborough or the uni in general lol!

Sheffield is great, i trained in adult nursing there and we have one of the biggest teaching hospitals in the north, great countryside, the greenest city in the north too. Fantastic central university. annax
