I hope someone can help me out here. OH and I are heading to Europe on Sept. 15Th. He's going to be the big 60 this year and he's always wanted to go to Prague and Amsterdam.
After that we were supposed to be in Eng/Scotland for a week but now he has to go to China on business and we're cutting our U.K. trip short.
Except I can stay in the U.K. for a week. Unless he hasn't booked the flight home yet, then I can stay for longer.
The question is, are there any special horse events going on the last week of September and/or the first week of October? It could be anything horse related, riding, lessons, shows etc., and it can be pretty where anyplace in the U.K.

shame its not the beginning of Sept Gnuton as its Burghley then and its one of the best events IMO. Will have a think if there is anything else on but like Haffy says, HOYS is the big one and attracts all the international riders. Shopping is supposed to be great there also.

I hate computers Sorry I didn't get back to you before but my puter went on strike. So today it worked fine so I typed a big response on here and my puter died again, losing everything I had written. I'll try again. My flight home is on Sept. 30th but I really would like to go to HOYS so I'm scheming on how I can stay till Oct, 7 or 8th. I would also like to go to a clinic if at all possible about Intelligent Horsemanship but for the life of my I can't remember her name. AND one more question. Has anyone gone on a horsey weekend? I know there was someone who has done the draft horse ride but I already have a 17.2 percheron/thoroughbred that we're in the middle of training. When I'm way up high in the saddle I get dizzy looking down I'm getting so excited, can't wait.

Well if for any reason you're in the Herts/Beds/Cambs region, I know of a lovely Welsh D who would be glad to take you for a ride ;D
Could be a good excuse for a members meet up?

Sorry for not acknowledging your posts but we've been away. Thanks for the info, I will stay for HOYS. I've always wanted to go there so truly looking forward to that. ;D Scattymare I'm definitely taking you up on your offer and it would be awesome if we could get together for a long ride with a good pub at the end of the ride. First pints are on me. Or maybe we can meet up at HOYS, or even better do both.
