Well just when you think things going good bang your on floor again - literally. Tuesday morning casually shaking some new straw on to babys bed when suddenly horrendous pain in lower back. Fell to floor but managed to crawl to straw bale where i sprawled calling for help. One of livieries came whose first aider took one look and called ambulance - so off i go to hospital on gas and air ( ohhhh now that was nice) where i was dosed up with a concoction of painkillers. Poking, prodding and xrays later sent home being told muscular with 2 lots of pain killers. ok you think. ummmm few hours later started with horrendous pains down my right leg and the inside of thigh and knee going numb. Call to my doctor to be told that I have trapped my cyatic(spelt wrong ) nerve - now I can barely stand, walk or sit up in bed and on 2 lots of pain kilers, diazepam and morphine (all at once) and told could be at least 2 weeks till i see improvement - Jesus its bloody agony just going for a wee - takes me 10 mins at least and bathrrom only across landing and yes im feeling sorry for myself lol AND I WAS ONLY SHAKING STRAW OUT !!!!!!!!

bit of update -
well two weeks on an no improvement, actually getting worse with lose of feeling down inside of leg - back at hospital yesterday and concern was it was spinal but phew thats been ruled out - i now have 7 different painkillers and relaxants and basically bed bound - but was causes most tears is Im missing my horses (seen once in 2 weeks as its to much for me driving in car and walking ) really miss just seeing them, touching them, being with them and talking to them( and dare i say singing to babymare when i bring her in for night - well she likes it) - had lots of tears but they are being well cared for by my daughter and a friend which is relief but I miss them so so so much esp babymare

Aww. I do hope you start to improve. I expect it's jhust rest that you need for the moment but I know what it's like not being able to be with your horse. It sucks. Get well soon x
