am also thinking of replacing my body protector. of course this is all subject to funds lol! but im hoping to save up my money and get this stuff over the course of the year before the stuff disintegrates! ;D Ive had it for coming on 6 years now. I have an airowear one at the moment with velcro fastening. i dont want a zip up one. the one i have at the moment is a 'short' style but would need to get it fitted to see if a regular one would maybe be a better idea. however, it doesnt look small on me at all strangely enough its just battered and torn really lol! any ideas on brands that are good etc?

I have recently replaced my virtually unworn Rodney Powell BP for a Race Safe one. Much more comfortable, light and flexible - I may even wear this one! It does zip up but is adjusted with laces at the side. it comes in different lengths and loads of different colour combinations Zx www.treehouseonline.co.uk/product_list/63

I like the look of those race safe ones...
Flea I would suggest you go into a shop near you and try a few brands on and see what is the comfiest.

Zara, those race safe ones are lovely!! A bit more expensive but worth every penny if they are comfy and snug.

I have the champion flex air and its light and flexible as the name suggests but I'm afraid its the only one i've owned so have nothing to compare it to. I did quite a bit of research first though and it seemed to come up trumps in its price range.

no update on the BP/boots situations as no income so far lol!! but am working on getting a job and then ill be RICH! specially when i get off for study leave in may and i can work during the week (of course remembering about revision lol!). on the lesson on sat my BP was bumping off the back of the saddle and i have had that BP for 6 years and i havent had much problem with it bumping off so maybe it was just a high cantle. anyway, it made me think that i may have to go for makes that do a short back length only (as the one i have now is a short back style) do racesafe do short lengths?

oh good!
still no further forward with job hunting (it is sooo hard to get a part time job!) - however, i will be getting a babysitting job in April which should help somewhat - slowly getting there lol!
racesafe seem to be v popular but i am sorta doubtful. 1) they look flimsy even though they claim to offer the highest protection 2) i dont really mind the stiffer ones, makes me feel safe actually, sorta encased in armour sort of thing lol! but perhaps a suppler one would enable me to move better?

Certainly not flimsy Flea and have level 3 protection, I still feel "safe" but I can move much better than in my Rodney Powell one Zx
