Hello everyone

Well its been along time since last on but rather alot been happening - left a nasty relationship( but recently met a lovely lovely guy so fingers crossed) made redundent twice, family problems, setting up own business and worse of all coming to terms that my beautiful mare is progressively going blind. Can no longer hack her out and only ride in school on bright days(not many of them in this country lol). My vet reckons within 3 yrs she will be totally blind and well as you can imagine I was heartbroken - the poor little mare as had such a rough time in life and shes only 9 But whilst she as quality of life she will be with me and when that day comes I will stand with her. LOL funniest thing is I took delivery of a £1000 made to mearsure saddle with her name plate on back 3 weeks before being told lol only used it twice lol

hey fimacg Im ok about baby's sight now - was heart breaking at time - but when I bought I didnt think I would ever ride her due to her problems from past owner so all the hacks - and a few gallops - i had have been a bonus and some good memories - lol even crying with happiness the first time I rode her so she will just retire with the boys in the field and grow old gracefully i hope

hey fleabitten poo happens but then something makes you smile - watch this space with my new guy mmm hes so so sweet and mmmm yep i like him so hey oh it looks good and hes so kind and a real gentleman - yeah yeah i really like him lol and he likes my babymare yay yay yay

Hi there scatty - she will not want for anything and will be loved and cuddled - shes my little rock through all tough times but also know that as sight goes - given shes a very sressful mare - it will be tough. have started using vocal commands all time - "go forward,come left ,go right " but i know as sight goes she wil stress and then i need to make that decision BUT she will love life till then as shes a treasure xx

Sorry to hear about baby. It's great though, that you got the chance to have those lovely rides. She'll have a good, happy retirement with you - however long or short.

You've certainly had a very rough time lately but your new man seems to be making up for it!!

Welcome back, sorry to hear you've had a rough time and about baby's eyes...after all you've been through with her it seems such a cruel blow...however glad to hear things are hopefully on the up and Baby is very lucky to have you. x

What a pity about poor Baby's eyesight - poor mare, it will be so confusing for her. You are being extremely brave and realistic about the whole thing - a real inspiration!!!

Its great to hear you are in a new loving relationship, good luck with that hun. I was interested to hear that you had also started a new business venture - how exciting!!! What type of business have you started?
