Until I am measured, I am not known, but you will miss me when I am flown. What am I? Each morning I appear at your feet, you cannot outrun me, but I nearly perish in the midday sun? What am I? Slightly different: How far will a horse walk into a forest?

I was thinking time and a shadow. No idea about the forest - if it was Doof, not very far cos she'd get scared of all the trees/leaves/birds/air!! lol

lol. good ones. can i add some?
Am assuming so anyway (lol) 1. what cheese is made backwards? 2. the more there is, the less you see 3. I went into the woods and got it, I sat down to seek it, I brought it home with me because I couldn't find it. 4. No sooner spoken than broken
and of course the one we've all heard of and h8d:
5. Think of words ending in -GRY. Angry and hungry are two of them. There are only three words in the English language. What is the third word? The word is something that everyone uses every day. If you have listened carefully, I have already told you what it is.

lol yep was a very VERY annoying one when I tried to do it. Went n got a dictionary n everything to look for words using GRY. Brig -basically ignore the first two sentences as they're just to mislead u! Then there are only three words in "the English language". lol
Will leave the answers to the two ppl havn't got if u want...or can put them up if they're annoying ppl...?

some more what am I's: 6. Light as a feather but no man may hold me for long 7. I go round the world but never leave a corner 8. Throw me off the highest building I will not break, but cry over my fall and I may. 9. Without a bridle or a saddle, across a thing I ride and straddle, and those I ride, by the help of me, though almost blind are made to see.
10. The missing money one: 3 friends having a meal, the waiter brings over the bill which is £30, each friend puts in £10, on reaching the cash register the waiter realises he has made a mistake and the bill should have been £25. So he places 5 pound coins on a plate and returns it to the friends, each of the friends takes £1 each and decide to leave the £2 pounds as a tip. That means that each friend has paid £9 which equals £27 plus the £2 tip makes £29, what happened to the other £1?
