(As you might have guessed, my work is not going well today ..... ) So ...... apart from the usual gifts to relatives/charities etc blah blah, what would you do for YOU? Would you change your life ... and how? I would certainly like to do up my house (efficient heating in the winter would be a luxury) or I might buy a nicer one in the same area. But I would not change my life dramatically (which means I am lucky enough to enjoy my life pretty much wholehearedly!) I'd buy some fields and I'd rather like to run a horsey retirement home. Over to you .......

I would build a luxury livery/equestrian yard and run it, i think - all mod cons and facilities - heated rug drying room, people facilities - showers, changing, kitchen, sitting room,. Id have gallops, build my own hacking trails round the edges of the massive acreage of fields, have 2 floodlit outdoor sand arenas and a large indoor with an adjacent warm up, a XC course, working hunter jumps, show jumps, dressage markers, games equipment. Id have shows and run clinics, and hire out to clubs and organisations, id have a classroom and lots of fields all with field shelters and automatic drinkers, all stables would have drinkers for handieness too. All cemented, ranch fencing, stone block coutyard type stables would be nice but i think it might be nice to have a barn style option too. Thered be all different types of livery, id do schooling and maybe breaking, lessons for people with their own horses, cater for people with companions or retirees, first time owners, peoeple who are riding clubbers, happy hackers, serious competitors, - everyone. Id have a solarium for horses beside the hose which would have warm water as well as cold so you could hose off or wash and then theyd stand under the lamps and get warmed! A swimming exercise thing would be cool too but maybe not popular - then again there arent too many of them about! Itd all be really well organised and i could also do like a B+B type thing as well where you could come on hols with your horse and attend a camp or just ride about with human accomodation.
Wow, what a pipe dream lol!!
Apart from that i dont think theres anything else i can think of at the minute which id do to change my life.
*****Ill add - nothing that money could fix anyway!

Bit too much money for me I think! However, paying off the bills for me and my family and friends would take off a big chunk (I have a large family!) Then I think I would pay someone to do my work for me (as I couldn't just suddenly stop coming to work) and buy some land. And disloyal as it is to admit it, I might get another horse as well. I probably would give the rest away to different charities here and abroad and I would like to get involved in initiatives to help young kids so that they don't get involved in drugs and crime - I have loads of ideas here but money would help them get off the ground. Oh and I would give big fat rug vouchers to all of you here who have horses (knowing how fond you are of rugs) and something else to the horseless ones. And yes, I wouldn't mind some new clothes! I do think my life would change dramatically because I could give up work-(ah bliss!) That was a very pleasant way of wasting my time in day dream land!!

Well, apart from the obvious - house, travel, gifts for family and friends etc., I would like to buy up all the parcels of green belt and brown field land for sale locally. I would make them into conservation areas and let people have access to them. I would encourage groups (i.e. youngsters, disabled or retired people) to manage or look after it and that way we hopefully wouldn't lose our lovely landscapes to developers or anyone who might otherwise buy or just move on to the land and ruin it.

Buy a castle in Scotland (the one I showed you a bit back maxi!) and not go to work tomorrow!
Not overly fussed by material things but would use it to fund a move to the Highlands (possibly Islands) and generally have a better quality of life...and I was serious about the castle, always wanted to live in one!
Oh and a QH would be on the list and the OH wants a desmosedici

Enough land to keep the sav monster and a companion happy in their old age, pay off all the families debts so they don't have to worry and invest the rest in an dressage horse for me. And pay my way though a nursing degree
