Me thinks I may be starting to prefer dogs. Farm cat brought me two mice today which she then proceeded to eat whole. The second one was still squeaking as it was dissappearing down her throat. (she was hit on the road few years back can't see out of one eye and has a metal leg - and ever since has been really carniverous!) House cat has jumped in through the window with a dead mouse which the puppy thought was obivously a gift for him, so had to try and part it from his jaws. Other week she didn't come home at night so we left a window open for her and she bought in a live baby bunny which she then realeased at 3 am! Are all cats this lovely?

My cats are so different despite being brother and sister. You may remember Stretch dissapeared last year. Well he now frequently does the off for up to two weeks at a time! He regularly brings back bunnies for us. Jemimah is always by my side - a real mummies princess. However she is the mouser and bird catcher. Little minx caught one of a pair of bullfinches the other day. Poor dad is left bringing up the babies! They are gross but I love them to bits.

I keep a fishing net in the bedroom as I've found it to be the quickest way to catch the mice the cats bring in at 2am and let go. I'm sure they think I like playing too.
